BOXWELL WITH THE STREET (Leighterton Village ST 8291 east side) LEIGHTERTON 2/21 Stables and coach house to east of Meads House

GV II

Stables and coach house. Late C18. Random rubble limestone; stone slate roof. Two stables with coach house at south end, now used as garage; loft over. West front: two stable doorways alternating with small casements, all with timber lintels; larger casement to right; pitching hole over each doorway. South end: parapet gabled end with 3-centred arch to coach house; C20 garage door; C20 lean-to to right not of special interest. Stables link at north end with single storey outbuilding and former harness room with simple chimney stack. Parapet gable at north end of stables. Included for Group Value.
