Description
The coach house and stables at the Old Rectory date from the early 19th century and are constructed from limestone ashlar with an old plain-tile roof and a brick stack. The building is in an L-plan and consists of one storey plus an attic or loft. The stables on the left feature a door and a two-light casement window beneath a stone-gabled half-dormer hayloft door. The coach house on the right includes a segmental-arched carriage entrance and a doorway leading to first-floor accommodation, along with two large tile-hung dormers. To the right, there is a single-storey stone and tiled outbuilding with a large fireplace, while to the left, there is a two-bay open shed with old brick walls and a stone-slated roof. Inside the stables, the original stalls and loose box are still present. This building is included for its group value.
