Description
The Fox and Goat is a public house that dates from the 17th century, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from rendered stone and brick, topped with old plain-tile roofs and features brick gable stacks. The building originally had two units and is one storey high with attics. The front elevation includes a central window, which was formerly a door, flanked by three-light casement windows, with two two-light dormers above and a stack to the right. To the left is a two-storey range from the 20th century, and there is an additional brick range at the rear.
Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and a beam that features elaborate chamfer stops.
