Description
The Stables at Castle Farm is a former flat over stable, now unused, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with dressed quoins and features a stone slate roof, with Welsh slate on the outshut. The stable includes a loft, with an outshut at the north end.
On the east side, there are 20th-century concrete block steps leading to a loft doorway that has a timber lintel and a plank door. To the left of the stairs is a stable door, also with a timber lintel. The outshut to the right has a single-window opening with a timber lintel and a small pigeon hole with a perch to the left.
The west side features a central upper floor small-paned casement with a timber lintel and two blocked ground floor openings. The north end has a parapet gable, while the south gable end has a cut down ridge-mounted chimney. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
