Description
These stables, located to the south-west of Number 10 (Drew's Farmhouse) and to the south-east of a large barn, were built in 1793, as indicated on the north gable. They are constructed from random rubble limestone and feature a stone slate roof. The stables have a loft above and a lean-to at the north end. On the west side, there is a central stable door with a loft hole above it, and a timber casement window to the left of the door. The north end is gabled and includes eight rows of pigeon holes, with an attached lean-to below. The south end has a roughcast finish on the gable, stone stairs with projecting nosing leading to a landing, and an off-centre plank loft door with a timber lintel. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
