Description
These stables, located approximately 30 metres northeast of Home Farm Cottage, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and topped with a slate roof. The southwest front features a pair of 20th-century metal windows on the left, which have wooden lintels, and an off-centre boarded door on the right, also with a wooden frame and lintel. At the base of the loft, there are four square vents. The left gable end has a boarded loft door with a wooden lintel, while the right gable end includes small-paned casements with wooden lintels on both the ground floor and loft. There is also a ground-floor boarded door on the right, which has a three-part rectangular overlight and a wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected. The stables are included for their group value.
