Description
The stables, located approximately 40 meters south of Manor Farmhouse, date from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with timber lintels and feature a thatched roof. The building is a single range, one storey plus a loft. The front elevation includes two stable doors and adjacent windows, one of which is now blocked. In the center, there is a later window and doorway with brick jambs, along with a small two-light dormer to the right of center. The end walls have weatherboarded gables, and the rear features two large stepped buttresses facing the road. Inside, the trusses have short under-principals that terminate at the collar and are strutted from the tie beam, with straight windbraces.
