Description
No. 23 Middle Road is a small house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with squared quoins and timber lintels, topped with a thatched roof featuring a brick gable stack. The house has a two-unit plan and is one storey plus attics. The front elevation includes a small three-light casement window on the right and a larger three-light casement on the left, with a three-light dormer above. The roof is half-hipped to the right, with the stack positioned to the left. The entrance is located in the left gable wall. The right gable features a three-light casement window, and there are similar windows at the rear. All windows have chamfered lintels. The house maintains a generally unaltered appearance, and the interior has not been inspected.
