Description
Cross Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Kiddington with Asterleigh. It is built from coursed limestone rubble, which shows signs of having been limewashed in the past, and features a thatched roof. The cottage has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey with a gable-lit attic. There are integral stone end stacks. The front of the cottage has three windows, which are 2-light wooden casements with wooden lintels. A boarded door, framed with chamfered wood and topped with a wooden lintel, is situated between the first and second windows from the left. The second window from the right likely indicates a former doorway, as suggested by the straight joists below it. Additionally, there are small attic casements in the right-hand gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
