Description

St Edmund's House is an 18th-century cottage in Warkton. It's constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with some ironstone to the left gable, and has a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window front. A central board door is set within a timber lattice porch, with a slate-roofed canted bay window to the left and a two-light casement window to the right. The first floor features a three-light and two-light iron-framed casement window with small panes, with the thatch raised into eyebrows above them. The windows have wooden lintels. A slate-roofed gabled addition to the right includes a three-light casement window dating to the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
