Description
Elm Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably from the 18th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a low-pitched slate roof and a coped left gable. It features a moulded stone stack on the left end and a brick stack on the right end. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with a chamfered left corner and widely spaced windows. The windows are small-paned casements with two and three lights, each having wooden lintels.
To the right, there is a one-storey addition that contains the main entrance, which features a panelled and part-glazed door set within a timber lattice porch. This addition also includes a three-light casement window and a brick end stack. Attached to the left of the farmhouse is a garden wall made of limestone rubble and some brick, topped with pantiled and rounded copings. This wall incorporates six recesses with wooden lintels, which have been partly blocked with brick to create nesting boxes. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
