Description

School Cottage is likely a 17th-century cottage, with an addition built in the mid-to-late 19th century, and later alterations in the mid-to-late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a roof of modern machine tiles. The cottage is one storey high and has a pair of ridge stacks, rebuilt in brick in the 20th century. The front has seven windows, most of which are 2-light wooden casements with wooden lintels. A boarded door, also with a wooden lintel, is located between the first and second windows from the right. To the left is a one-story addition, built probably in the late 19th century, featuring a casement window and a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is listed because of its group value.
