Description
Bould Farm Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage, extended in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble, with a stone slate roof. The cottage has two storeys. Windows are located to the left and right of a central 20th-century boarded door with a chamfered lintel. The windows include 20th-century metal casements directly below the eaves, a chamfered two-light mullion window to the left, and a three-light window to the right on the ground floor, both with dripstones. An integral end stack with a moulded dripstone and capping is on the right, and a 20th-century ridge stack, possibly replacing a former end stack, is at the junction with a 20th-century addition to the left. The rear wall has two two-light mullion windows to the first floor, one to the lower left, and a 20th-century casement to the lower right, both with dripstones. Inside the right ground-floor room is a chamfered spine beam with stepped ogee stops and a remodelled inglenook fireplace. The 20th-century addition is not of particular architectural interest.
