Description

Drew's Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with datestones indicating construction dates of 1784 for the front block and 1804 for the rear wing. The front block features roughcast render, while the rear wing is made of random rubble limestone. The farmhouse has rubble chimneys and a stone slate roof, with pantile on the north wing. The front block is two storeys high with an attic, and the rear wing is also two storeys, accompanied by a single-storey oven house to the north.

The front elevation has incised imitation ashlar render and displays a three-window arrangement with three-light chamfered mullioned casements. The central upper floor window is designed as a Venetian window. There is a central doorway with a lead lean-to porch hood supported by timber posts, leading to a six-panel door. An oval datestone is positioned above the Venetian window. Each gable end of the front block features a rubble chimney, and the south gable end has an off-centre attic casement.

On the south side of the rear wing, there is a projecting two-storey outshut, which has a two-window sash arrangement. A single sash window is located on the ground floor to the right of a lead-hooded doorway, which also has a six-panel door and a datestone above it. The west gable end of the rear wing has a ridge-mounted ashlar chimney, and there is an archway leading to an attached garden wall.

The single-storey oven house projects from the north side of the rear wing and features a brick gable end chimney. The interior of the farmhouse is mostly unaltered and includes the oven house, which contains a bread oven, washing coppers, and stone sinks. Drew's Farmhouse is part of a group that includes two barns and stables.
