Description
1 Sherborne is a detached house built between the late 17th century and mid-18th century, with 19th-century extensions. The structure features coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof on the front pitch and concrete tiles on the rear and extensions. The main body of the house is rectangular, with a stair projection at the rear and a 19th-century extension to the right. There is a 20th-century lean-to at the back of the main body, which is not of special interest.
The facade is symmetrical, two stories high, and has three windows. All windows on the garden front are stone-mullioned cross windows with stopped hoods. The single-storey 19th-century extension to the right has a two-light steel casement window. The central entrance features a 19th-century four-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, and is topped by a nearly flat, corrugated iron canopy. All windows in the main body include glazing bars, and there are stacks at the gable ends, with the left-hand stack having a moulded capping. The interior has not been inspected.
