Description
Little Colesborne is a detached house dating from the early to mid-17th century, with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features stone stacks. The main body of the house is rectangular and two storeys high, with a three-windowed facade. This facade is illuminated by two, three, and four-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, which have stopped hoods over the first-floor windows. To the right of the front door, there is a four-light stone-mullioned casement with a king mullion. A string course runs between the ground and first floors. The front door, dating from the 19th century, is positioned off-centre to the left and is set within a flat-chamfered basket-headed surround with a stopped hood.
On the left side, there is a single-storey 19th-century extension that is set back and features a two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned surround. All the windows in this extension are steel casements with glazing bars. The main body and the 19th-century extension both have stepped gable end coping and gable end stacks. The right gable end of the main body is hipped and has a fine twin diagonal gable end stack with moulded capping and dentil moulding. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
