Description

Luckett Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a thin stone slate roof and brick stacks. The house has a rectangular main body to which a two-storey extension has been added to the right gable end. The upper floor has an attic lit by a gabled 19th-century roof dormer with a two-light metal casement window containing glazing bars. The front facade has three windows, each a double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with stopped hoods and horizontal glazing bars, measuring one, two, and four lights respectively. A former front entrance has been blocked; access is now via the garden front. There are gable-end stacks on both the main body and the 19th-century extension. The interior was not inspected.
