Description
The Place is a detached cottage located in Longborough, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is built from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof with a brick stack. The main body of the cottage is rectangular and has one and a half storeys, with a full dormer on the right side, which is lit by a two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement. There is also a three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood. All the casements include horizontal glazing bars. At the rear, there is a 19th-century plank door. The 20th-century extension on the right gable end has a flat roof, and there is a brick stack on the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
