Description

The Old House is a detached house dating from the 17th century, located in Longborough Village. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features an ashlar stack that has been repaired in brick. The building has a rectangular plan and stands one and a half storeys tall. Its symmetrical facade includes an upper storey that is illuminated by two half dormers. The windows are two and three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements. A 19th-century plank door with a thumb latch and wood lintel is situated in the right gable end. Inside, there is a spine beam.
