Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a semi-detached house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a thin limestone slate roof and featuring brick stacks. The main body of the cottage has a 'T' shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by two gabled roof dormers that contain 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. The symmetrical facade has two windows, which are fitted with 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements that have stopped hoods. The central entrance features a 19th-century plank door with a plain flat-chamfered surround. At the rear, there is a single storey 'U' shaped courtyard of converted agricultural buildings, but these are not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
