Description

Corner Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th and 18th centuries, with additions from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks, one of which was restored in the 20th century. The house has a rectangular main body, with a single-bay extension to the left, set at a slight angle to the front facade, and a mid-19th century extension to the rear right. It has a cellar beneath the front right-hand room.

The two-storey facade has three windows. The first floor features a two-light, double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window. The ground floor has two three-light stone-mullioned casement windows flanking a six-panelled door with a curving metal canopy supported on moulded stone brackets. A small, rectangular four-light bay window with a flat leaded roof is set to the left of the facade. All casement windows contain horizontal glazing bars. There is flat coping and stacks at the gable ends.
