Description
No. 2 The Green is a semi-detached cottage located in Windrush Village, dating from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof featuring an ashlar stack. The cottage has a symmetrical, two-storey facade with two windows. The windows are two-light casements with double-chamfered surrounds, although the stone mullions have been removed from the first floor. There is a similar casement on the lower right. To the left of the central 20th-century six-panel door, which has the upper two panels glazed, is a two-light casement that retains its stone mullion. At the rear, there are two-light segmental-headed windows. The stack is located at the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
