Description
Haycroft House is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-19th century, possibly with an earlier core, and features a later extension. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The main body has a rectangular plan with an extension to the right and stands two storeys tall with an attic.
The garden front displays a four-windowed facade, predominantly featuring 2-light stone-mullioned casements. There are single light casements with flat-chamfered surrounds located in the right-hand bay. The roof includes three two-light dormers. All casements are fitted with glazing bars. At the rear, there are central 20th-century double doors with glazing bars, flanked by two 12-pane sashes set within segmental-headed surrounds.
To the right of the garden front, a two-storey extension is set back and features a 3-bay veranda supported by Doric columns that separate each bay. The roof is parallel ridged, with flat coping and stacks at the gable ends. The interior has not been inspected.
