Description

Middle Barn is a field barn dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate and slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan featuring a central projecting porch on the south side, with lean-tos on either side of the porch. The two-storey porch has a hipped subsidiary porch at the front. The right-hand lean-to includes ventilation slits, while the wall opposite the porch has double doors. There are pitching windows in the gable ends and triangular ventilation slits, with flat coping at the gable ends. Inside, the barn has four bays, two of which have braced collars and king posts.
