Description

This is a barn located at Camp Farm, dated and initialled 'W. 1875' on a sunken stone plaque in the gable above the entrance. It was likely built for Edmund Waller. The structure is made of random squared and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof and a stone stack. The barn has a long rectangular plan, which includes an outbuilding to the right.

The central gabled porch features a double-width entrance, flanked by two 3-light stone-mullioned casements, although the far left-hand window has been removed. There is a plank door on the far right. The single-storey outbuilding to the right has two 2-light stone-mullioned casements and two plank doors. The roof space is ventilated by two 'V'-shaped vents with decorative barge boards. The left gable end and the gable over the porch have flat coping, and there are finials at the apexes of both gables and on the kneelers of the gable over the porch. An axial stack is present on the single-storey extension, with flat capping supported on freestanding stone blocks. The interior of the barn has not been inspected.
