Description
The Adam family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter, approximately 6 meters west of the tower. This early 19th-century tomb is made of limestone and features fielded inscription panels on its sides. The south side bears an inscription for Edmund Adam, who died in 1821, flanked by narrow sunken marginal panels. The north side has a partially legible inscription for Amy, the wife of Edmund Adam, though her date of death is not readable. At the west end, there is an inscription within a segmental-headed panel with a beaded margin for William Adams, their son, who died in 1826. Additionally, there is an inscription for Gabriel, another son, who died in 1815. The tomb is capped with a moulded margin and has an eroded capping stone.
