Description

The bridge over Sherborne Brook in the grounds of Haycroft House is an accommodation bridge dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone and features five circular-headed arches spanning the brook, with the central arch being the tallest. The bridge has piers with imposts and a parapet that includes flat capping. The piers at both ends of the bridge parapet are topped with pyramidal cappings, and the tallest piers on the south side also serve as gate piers.
