Description
The stable with a loft at Dilleys Farmhouse is a 19th-century structure built from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan and features lean-to extensions at both gable ends. The building stands one and a half storeys tall and has an almost symmetrical facade, highlighted by a central gablet. The central doorway is positioned beneath a single flight of stone steps leading up to a 19th-century plank door that provides access to the loft. The single-storey lean-tos include ventilation slits. Inside, the stable retains its original feeding trough and cobbled floors.
