Description

A pair of farm cottages dating from the early 19th century are located in North Cerney. They are constructed of roughly squared and dressed limestone with a roof of stone slates and brick stacks. The cottages have a rectangular plan and are arranged with a five-windowed west-facing front. The windows are two-light casements, some with timber lintels, and one with a flat-arched head. The entrances feature 19th-century plank doors, one of which has a flat-arched head. Five raking half dormers are visible. Gable-end and axial stacks are present. The interior remains uninspected. At the time of resurvey in October 1986, a significant number of slates were missing from the roof of the left-hand cottage.
