Description
The Lodge is a former lodge, dated 1914 and initialled 'W.I.C./1914/Ecc', designed by F.C. Eden, and originally associated with Cerney House. It was constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The building has an octagonal plan with a lean-to addition to the west, and a flat-roofed conservatory on the west, which is not considered to be of special architectural interest.
The Lodge is a building of one and a half storeys. The front has two 12-pane sash windows with dressed stone architraves and moulded sills on the ground floor, along with one single-light casement window with a splayed sill. The rear lean-to has 2-light wooden casements. The first floor has four 2-light slate-hung half dormers with glazing bars, and one small 3-light fixed casement. A band runs below the first-floor windows. A central octagonal stack is present. The interior has not been inspected.
