Description

The lych gate located on the northern boundary of the churchyard of the Church of All Saints was designed by F.C. Eden in the early 20th century. It features an inscription on the tie beam above the gate that reads, "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF / PETER GOLDSMITH MEDD RECTOR 1875 - 1908." The structure has an open-sided pegged timber framework supported by low dressed stone side walls. It includes braced tie beams and a single wide gateway that pivots at a central point, enhanced by a pair of symmetrical curving braces. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a stile with two curving timbers located to the left of the porch.
