Description
The K6 telephone kiosk is a standardised design made of cast iron and painted red overall. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with crowns on the top panels that are applied rather than perforated. There are rectangular white display signs reading 'TELEPHONE' beneath the shallow-curved roof. The kiosk has modernised internal equipment and retains most of its glass, although a few window panels have been replaced with polycarbonate.
Located in the centre of North Cerney, the kiosk sits on the north side of The Stableblock to the Manor House. It has a strong visual relationship with this building, the attached double barn, No. 36 Dark Lane, and the village school, all of which are listed at Grade II.
