Description

Elmlea is a house located at the corner of an 'L' shaped group of cottages, dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof, with both a rubble stack and a brick stack. The house has a rectangular plan and stands one and a half storeys high.

On the gable end, there are two ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casements. The front entrance includes a 19th-century plank door that has a single glazed pane at the top and a timber lintel positioned to the lower left. The front also displays two 2-light casements with glazing bars and timber lintels, one of which is located within the blocking of a former doorway. Additionally, there is another blocked doorway with a timber lintel facing the roadside, and a single hipped eaves dormer on the roadside front. The interior has not been inspected.
