Description

No. 36 is a detached cottage located in North Cerney, dating from the mid 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof, with a rubble stack that has been restored in brick at the top. The cottage has a rectangular plan and includes a later lean-to at the rear. It is one and a half storeys high.

On the south-west elevation, there is one two-light and one three-light 19th-century metal casement window, with the former situated within a blocked doorway. Additionally, there is a single 20th-century two-light eaves dormer. The south-east gable end has a 19th-century door with six flush panels, two of which are now glazed, along with a small single-light window above. To the right, there is a curved wall of a projecting bread oven. The cottage features a gable-end stack. The interior has not been inspected.
