Description
The building consists of a cartshed and former pigsties, located in the farmyard at Ampney Sheephouse, likely dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof, while the barn features a corrugated iron roof. The cartshed has a double-doored opening with a timber lintel on the south side and a small square shuttered opening above it. The pigsties are in semi-derelict condition, consisting of three bays with low openings to the west, two of which still retain their original doors. The barn has a projecting gabled cart entry on the south side, also with a timber lintel, and a low-level opposed entry with double doors and a timber lintel. Inside, the barn has five bays supported by collar and tie beam trusses with struts.
