Description
The Royal London Hotel is a building located on Fore Street, dating back to 1633. It features a long stucco frontage that is two to three storeys high, extending to the corner with New Street. At the northern end, there is a three-storey section with a three-window front, flanked by superimposed splayed bays on the first and second floors. The central window on the second floor is a sash window with glazing bars, while the first floor has a two-light casement window. The ground floor includes tripartite windows on either side of the entrance. The doorway has been altered from its original design, which was flanked by columns that have since been removed, leaving only the capitals. The original hood with balustrade has been replaced by a glass canopy. To the south, there are three large tripartite sash windows. The corner of the building features a public house front with panelled pilasters and a modillion cornice.
