Description

FORE STREET 1. 1633 (West Side) The Royal London Hotel SY 1287 1/86 II 2. Long 2 and 3 storey stucco frontage, reaching to corner with New Street. Early C19. At north end is a 3 storey 3 window front with flanking super- imposed splayed bays to 1st and 2nd floors. 2nd floor central window is sash with glazing bars, 1st floor: a 2-light casement. Ground floor has tripartite windows either side of entrance. The doorway has been altered, formerly flanked by columns, since removed except for capitals, the hood with balustrade has now been replaced by a glass canopy. 3 large tripartite sash windows to south. Corner has public house front with panelled pilasters and modillion cornice.
