Description

This is a circa 1830 pair of houses, prominently situated on the west side of Old Fore Street. The houses are three storeys high and have a stucco facade. They have a low-pitch gable-end slate roof and a three-window front, with the centre window currently blind. The recessed sash windows retain their original glazing bars. Wrought iron flower guards are affixed to the windows above Hyatt Antiques. The ground floor retains a pair of original shop fronts. The shop front for Hyatt Antiques features a shallow bowed, tall window with intact glazing bars, as well as a frieze and moulded cornice on thin pilasters. The entrances are paired in the centre and are sheltered by hoods supported on console brackets. The listed buildings on the west side of Old Fore Street form a group.
