Description

The premises occupied by Boots is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of Fore Street, dating from 1633. It is three storeys high and has a stucco facade. The low pitch gable end slate roof features a moulded eaves cornice. The upper floors have two windows; the second floor has recessed broad framed sash windows, most of which retain their glazing bars, while the first floor windows have been altered to two-light casements with raised stucco surrounds that include keystones. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building is part of a group that also includes the premises occupied by French's, Fields (Mans Shop), and Trump Stores.
