Description

This building, located on the east side of Fore Street, dates back to 1633 and is currently occupied by The Spinning Wheel and an Irish tobacconist. It is a two-storey structure with an 18th-century stucco front that has been altered by the addition of two large shop windows, which partially obscure the first-floor windows. The building features a thatched roof and a bracketed moulded eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are five windows, one of which is blind, and all have sash glazing bars that remain intact. Additionally, there is an original rainwater head that is ornamented with a fleur-de-lis. This building is part of a group that includes the Herald Office at No. 23, Olive Ltd, and Stead and Simpson.
