Description
This is an early 19th-century building, originally two houses now forming a block occupied by Knight and Sons Drapers. It is three stories high, with a stucco-faced exterior. The building features flanking and dividing panelled pilasters, and bracketed eaves to a low-pitched slate roof. There are three windows to each upper floor. The second floor windows are flush-framed sashes with intact glazing bars. The first floor has shallow bows in moulded, flush frames, also with intact glazing bars. Modern shop fronts have been added to the ground floor, but an earlier cornice has been retained. The two premises form a group.
