Description
No 6 York Terrace is part of a terrace built around 1810, located on The Esplanade. It features a two-window, three-storey rendered front with no cornice and a parapet with coping. The roof is a mansard style covered with slate, and there are two dormers with intact glazing bars. The first floor has recessed sashes with glazing bars and flat arches, while the ground floor includes a verandah supported by slender, reeded cast iron columns. Above the verandah, the first floor has a balcony with a geometric iron balustrade, although it lacks a canopy. The entrance door consists of four moulded panels and is topped by a semi-circular fanlight. Additionally, there are two windows in the basement. A Victorian iron balustrade is situated between the supports of the verandah. Nos 1 to 12 York Terrace form a group.
