Description
York Terrace, numbers 8 to 10, were built in 1911 as a continuation of the earlier York Terrace, designed to match its style. They are three-storey buildings of red brick with a moulded stone cornice, a brick parapet, and stone coping that curves upwards between each house. The roofs are slate with dormers. Each house has three windows; the second floor windows are sash windows in moulded, flush frames, while the first floor features French windows. A canted bay window with sash lights is present on the ground floor of each house. All have ground-floor verandahs and first-floor balconies featuring tent-shaped canopies, wooden balustrades, and trellis supports. The recessed doors consist of six moulded and fielded panels, a semi-circular fanlight with looped radial glazing bars, and a rubbed brick arch with a keystone above. Nos 1 to 12 form a group.
