Description
No 7 York Terrace is part of a terrace built around 1810. It features a symmetrical stucco front with three windows and three storeys, plus a basement. The building has no cornice and a parapet with coping, topped by a mansard slate roof with three dormers. The recessed sash windows have intact glazing bars, with the outer windows on the first floor being full length and leading to an iron balcony. A later 19th-century canopy has serpentine fretted eaves and turned wooden supports. The ground floor includes a verandah supported by twisted slender iron columns, with windows and a door set in arched recesses. The round-headed sash windows also have intact glazing bars and marginal glazing. The central entrance features a panelled door with a semi-circular fanlight above. There is a Victorian iron balustrade between the verandah supports. Nos 1 to 12 York Terrace form a group.
