Description
This building, originally a house and now serving as shops with accommodation above, dates back to the 18th century. It features two storeys plus attics, with a stucco front and a steeply-pitched slate roof, which has a rendered stone stack at the northwest end. The upper level includes two small box dormers that contain 16-pane sash windows. A modillion eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline.
On the first floor, there are four 12-pane hornless sash windows, each with moulded architraves. The ground floor has two 20th-century shop windows and doorways. To the left, there is a double-fronted shopfront, while to the right, the shopfront has a doorway aligned with the window in the third bay above, along with a display window to the right that is framed by pilasters supporting a fascia board and cornice. At the rear, there is a lower gabled wing made of stone.
Inside, the upper floor retains a well-preserved staircase from around 1700, featuring turned balusters, panelled doors, and dados.
