This milestone is located by the access to Hallam Farm buildings on the A345 in Ogbourne St George. It dates from the early 19th century and marks the second Swindon to Marlborough turnpike. The milestone has a shaft that is shaped like a chord of a cylinder and features a grooved top. The left side of the milestone displays the legend "TO SWINDON / 8," while the right side reads "TO / MARLBORO' / 3." The road on the east bank of the Og was turnpiked in 1819.
