Description

This cottage, dating from the 17th century, is constructed from sarsen stone and features a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic, originally consisting of two bays, with a mid-20th century bay added to the south end. The central door, which is boarded and from the 20th century, replaces a blocked door that was located opposite the stack at the rear of the right bay. The cottage has a thatched open porch and paned casement windows, with those on the ground floor featuring segmental half-brick heads. There are two flush dormers, and the stack at the right end has likely been rebuilt. A large bressumer is present in the end gable, and the thatch extends over a 20th-century brick extension at the left end.
