Description

Laurels is a cottage located on the east side of the A345 in Ogbourne St George. It likely dates from the 17th century and is constructed of flint with brick dressings, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage has four bays, with a central entrance that features a 20th-century glazed porch. The windows are paned casements, which were altered in the early 19th century. There are three rounded flush dormers on the roof. A stack is positioned between the first and second bays, and there is a large fireplace in the central bay, complete with a timber mantel beam and stop-chamfered spine beams. An attached narrow outbuilding is located at the left end of the cottage.
