Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located in Southend, Ogbourne St George. It is constructed from timber framing and sarsen stone, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage is single storey with an attic and consists of four bays. There is a central 20th-century brick extension. A boarded door is situated in the left bay, and there are various 19th-century timber casement windows on the first floor. The two left bays feature timber framing with three panels high on a sarsen sill, and the noggings are colourwashed. The right bays are made of sarsen stone. The building is attached at the right end to Southend Cottage.
