Description
The South West Electricity Board building, originally a house and now a shop, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of random coursed granite rubble and features a half-hipped scantled slate roof with granite end stacks, which are rendered on the left side. The building has a double-depth central-entry plan and a rear outshut. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement. The granite lintels above the mid-20th century half-glazed door are complemented by a 20th-century plate-glass window to the left and late 19th-century horned 2/2-pane sash windows on the first floor. To the right of the door, there is a canted bay window with 20th-century plate glass. The interior does not have any notable features on the ground floor.
