Description

Parade House is a house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, located in Hugh Town, St. Mary’s. It is constructed of roughly coursed granite rubble with large quoins, and has a rendered front. The main section has a half-hipped roof covered with interlocking tiles, while the rear wing has a slate roof. Brick end stacks are present, some of which are rendered. The house is arranged in an L-plan with a rear left wing. It is three storeys high and has a two-window front. A door with eight panels is located on the right-hand side. Original windows include eight-pane sashes on the ground floor to the left, similar eight-pane sashes on the first floor, and six-pane sashes on the second floor. A small rear wing, likely dating from the mid-19th century, is also present. The interior has not been inspected.
